Drake Is About To Drop A Song Sampling Fairouz
Drake’s upcoming album ICEMAN is giving Lebanese fans something to get hyped about. One of the tracks will feature a sample of Fairouz’s iconic Wahdon.
The reveal came after Drake dropped snippets of the album. Now, while a Drake x Fairouz mashup might sound random at first, it actually makes perfect sense.
Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El Khatib, both Lebanese, have been behind Drake’s long-time success. 40 is Drake’s producer and the co-founder of OVO alongside Oliver, who’s also Drake’s co-manager.
This isn’t the first time Drake has shown love to Lebanon, either.
He’s been spotted wearing jewelry by a Lebanese designer, even dropped some Lebanese in a track, and OVO once launched a limited-edition Lebanon line in support of the country after the Beirut blast.
With ICEMAN set to release on October 31st, 2025, all eyes will be on how Drake blends Fairouz’s timeless sound into his new era.
