Qlayaat Airport Is Finally Launching Before This Summer

The Parliamentary Committee on Public Works, Transport, Energy, and Water met to review the Ministry of Public Works’ plan for the year, in a session chaired by MP Sajee Attieh and attended by Minister Fayez Rassamny.
Attieh said the plan includes establishing a regulatory body for the airport sector and organizing field visits to Lebanon’s ports.
He also confirmed that Qlayaat Airport, also known as Rene Mouawad Airport, is expected to begin operations within three to four months.
Rassamny reiterated the government’s commitment to relaunching Qlayaat Airport before the summer season, noting that several projects are already underway, with both short-term and long-term impact.
