A Chipotle Lebanon Page Has Been Gaining Traction, What’s The Truth Behind It?
A social media page claiming that Chipotle is coming to Lebanon has been gaining serious traction, even running ads and using Chipotle’s branding, imagery, and other official-looking assets.
There is just one problem.
It’s not an official Chipotle account.
The page, @chipotlelb, had been posting that Chipotle was “coming soon” to Lebanon while promoting the claim heavily through paid ads.
It also looked convincing at first glance. The account had a blue verification badge and was using the same branding and visual language associated with the American restaurant chain.
But a closer look raised several red flags.
The account was created in April 2025 and just paid for a blue verification badge this month, while its username history showed that it had already changed usernames 8 times. The person behind the account is also based in France.
More importantly, 961 contacted Chipotle’s corporate team directly.
Chipotle told 961 that the page was an “unauthorized account” and was “in the process of being removed.” Chipotle’s Middle East team separately confirmed the same information to 961.
So, Is Chipotle Coming To Lebanon?
No.
At least for now, there is no official Chipotle announcement confirming a Lebanese location.
The confusion comes at a time when Chipotle is genuinely expanding across the Middle East. The company opened its first restaurant in Saudi Arabia last month, with regional franchise partner Alshaya Group, following its existing presence in the UAE.
That expansion may make a “Chipotle Lebanon” announcement feel believable, but there is currently no official Lebanese launch to announce.
The account was briefly removed before returning and updating their bio confessing that it’s a “parody” account and “not affiliated with Chipotle or Alshaya.” It’s not clear why the page insisted on aggressively running ads to promote it.
