They cite violations of legal profession regulations and the ethical code for lawyers, which demand behavior that instills trust and respect.

The decision of the Beirut Bar Association comes amidst controversies surrounding TikTokers in Lebanon.

Reports suggest that certain individuals have exploited the platform to target teenagers of Lebanese and Syrian descent, coercing them into illicit activities.

According to sources from Annahar, minors were manipulated into situations of sexual exploitation, enticed by trivial rewards.

In more details, a group of about 30 individuals, including a TikTok “influencer,” allegedly abused approximately 30 children, reportedly using the social media app to lure victims. Lebanon’s security forces have begun making arrests in connection with the case.

While many popular Lebanese TikTokers and influencers have gathered a global audience due to their original content, people are now furious and are calling to ban TikTok in Lebanon following the incident.
