When Erling Haaland needs to get back to peak performance, one of the people he turns to isn’t based in Manchester or Oslo.

It’s Lebanese biomechanics expert John Haddad.

Haddad has worked closely with the Norwegian superstar since 2020, when Haaland was recovering from a hip injury during his time at Borussia Dortmund. Their partnership has continued ever since, with Haaland repeatedly relying on him throughout his career.

In late 2023, as Haaland raced to recover from a foot injury, he traveled to Spain to work with Haddad before Manchester City’s Club World Cup campaign. Norwegian media have even nicknamed Haddad “The Miracle Man” because of his reputation for helping athletes return from injuries faster than expected.

Haddad is a biomechanics specialist who focuses on how the body moves, helping athletes improve movement patterns, reduce strain, and recover more efficiently. Rather than relying only on traditional rehabilitation, his approach looks at optimizing how the brain and body work together.

His client list extends well beyond football, with work spanning elite athletes across different sports, including MMA fighters and other high-performance competitors. He also founded Level 8 School of Biomechanics and Movement Therapy, where he teaches his methods to practitioners worldwide.

It’s another reminder that Lebanese talent continues to make an impact on the global stage, this time behind one of football’s biggest names.

28-year-old Haaland has gone viral across social media for his unique and entertaining personality during the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches.
