Iran cleric who helped found Hezbollah dies

Ali Akbar Mohtashamipour, a Shiite cleric who as Iran’s ambassador to Syria helped found Hezbollah and lost his right hand to a book bombing reportedly carried out by Israel, died Monday of the coronavirus.
