Where did it all go wrong for the European Super League?

Just a few days ago, 12 of Europe’s biggest football teams shook up the sport by announcing their intention to form a breakaway league, much to the dismay of fans, players, managers and politicians. But within hours, the European Super League was teetering on the brink of collapse, at least for now.
