Western diplomats and double talk

When Lebanese took to the street to protest against government corruption and the failing economy, most Western governments rushed to pledge their support for the popular uprising and echoed their demands, but this support is coming into question in the wake of continuous appeasement of the current political rulers by Western diplomats.
