French FM to revive initiative amid talk of ‘punitive measures’

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian is set to visit Beirut this week for crucial talks with Lebanese leaders aimed at reviving the stalled French initiative and accelerating the formation of a new government capable of saving Lebanon from all-out economic collapse, political sources said Monday.
