EU preparing to impose sanctions on govt formation obstructers

Expressing its concern over the monthslong political stalemate in Lebanon and the failure of its leaders to agree on the formation of a new government, the European Union is preparing to impose sanctions on politicians blamed for obstructing the formation, a senior EU official said.
