Akkar explosion casts gloom on Cabinet formation efforts

A fuel tank explosion that killed at least 28 people in north Lebanon early Sunday has overshadowed Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati’s attempts to form a new government, casting gloom on “speedy progress” made in the Cabinet formation process amid calls for the president to step down over the blast.
