Video Shows Moment Israel Navy SEALs Infiltrate Batroun & Capture Senior Hezbollah Commander
On Friday night, footage surfaced online showing what appears to be Israeli Navy SEALs infiltrating a chalet in Batroun to capture a high-ranking member of Hezbollah‘s naval unit, identified as Imad Amhaz.
Initial reports circulated that Amhaz was either linked to Lebanon’s navy or a civilian ship captain, but both claims were later debunked.
Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh, initially commented on rumors suggesting Amhaz’s involvement with the Lebanese navy but clarified he had no official naval role.
The Lebanese Army confirmed to 961 News that Amhaz is not and never was a Lebanese soldier.
Following this, reports emerged identifying Amhaz as a commander within Hezbollah’s naval unit.
According to Israeli sources cited by Axios, Amhaz was transported to Israel for interrogation, where he is expected to be questioned regarding Hezbollah’s naval capabilities and potential future operations.
Hezbollah has not yet released an official statement.
Meanwhile, UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) has publicly denied any involvement in the incident, distancing itself from the operation and emphasizing its neutrality in Lebanon.
