Nora Bayrakdarian is a distinguished academic in the field of International Relations, currently serving as a professor and chair of the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Lebanese University.

She is also a member of the Scientific Council for the Ph.D. program in Law, Political Science, Administrative Science, and Economics.

Additionally, she is a lecturer at the American University of Beirut and holds the position of chair of the Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Lebanese Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, where she is serving her second term.
Bayrakdarian began her academic journey at the Lebanese University, excelling both in her undergraduate and graduate studies.

She was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) due to her academic excellence and wrote a thesis focusing on Drug Control Management, achieving top honors. She continued her studies at the Sorbonne University in Paris, where she earned a Ph.D. in International Relations with distinction.

Throughout her career, Bayrakdarian has held several academic positions, starting as a teaching assistant and later as a full professor at the Lebanese University, eventually becoming the head of the Department of International Relations.

She has also lectured at prominent universities, such as Saint Joseph University, the University of the Holy Spirit, and the Universite La Sagesse, and has supervised a Master’s program in Peace Studies in collaboration with renowned Italian universities.

In addition to her academic roles, Bayrakdarian has shared her expertise with the Lebanese Military Academy.
