This Beirut Nightclub Just Opened Its Doors To Shelter Displaced People
Talk about a year of contrasts. SKINN, a Beirut nightclub once known for its vibrant nightlife, has now become a refuge for displaced families. The club has opened its doors to provide shelter and basic necessities to those affected by the ongoing crisis.
Owned by the company behind popular venues like Iris and Skybar, SKINN decided to take action after witnessing people left homeless on the streets, on the day of the attack on Nasrallah.
Management told 961 that around 350 people are currently staying there, with humanitarian organizations stepping in to provide food and other essential resources.
This initiative not only offers families a temporary place to stay but also highlights the community spirit in Lebanon during difficult times. The venue has shifted from entertainment to serving a much-needed role in supporting those displaced by the conflict.
It’s a reminder of how spaces can be repurposed for good in times of need.
